Here at Casanova's we maintain a computer division with fully qualified Computer Technology Laboratory, as well as a specialized department for field testing metal detectors for our Metal Detector Center. We have acquired the gold nugget detector models that claim the latest advancements and refinements in nugget detection. We are an independent testing facility which must purchase the detectors we tests. We are not given any special consideration by any of the manufacturers. They simply appear to not care about people in the field testing their machines... go figure since we are a major dealer - have been since most of these manufactures began their businesses.

Field testing is done in the mineralized soils found in southeastern Wisconsin in Milwaukee and surround counties that have been left behind by glaciered deposits. The full range of "Hot Rocks" are found in local city parks that provide a great place to test machines in actual conditions. Gold nugget detectors are further tested in actual gold bearing regions of past gold rush eras. Colorado, Utah, Washington, and Victoria Australia, are some of the places Mr. Casanova has personally field tested gold nugget metal detectors over the past 25 years.

Fisher Research Laboratories' new Gold Strike was field tested during a fact gather expedition by Mr. Casanova, in the Central Victoria goldfields of Australia in 2002. The new GMT by White's, the new Garrett Infinium LS, and the new Compass Electronics AU52 and AU2000 are all in line for evaluation and field testing. The testing criteria includes feedback from local customers - both short and long term users of metal detectors and gold nugget hunting.
